FAQ regarding Track Daze events
Do I need a CAMS or AASA licence to participate?
Yes, you'll need a valid Australian driver's licence in addition to either a CAMS or AASA licence to participate.
The exception is a 'Tuning Session' at the RACDC. All you need for these is a valid WA Driver's Licence.
Does the car I drive in the event need to be road registered?
The car you're driving in the event doesn't need to be currently registered in Western Australia. However, it should have working brake lights, indicators, hazard lights, and headlights.
Do I need any additional safety equipment installed in the car I'll be driving?
If any additional equipment is needed, it will be specified in the event information. The car you're driving will need to in good overall condition.
What personal safety gear do I need to participate?
You will need a good condition helmet that meets a minimum standard of AS/NZ1698 and has a sticker showing this. You will also need a long sleeved shirt, long pants, and closed in shoes.
Will the car I'm driving be inspected or 'scrutineered' prior to the event?
Yes, it will be scrutineered prior to the event.
When and/or how can I pay for the event?
Payment is dependent on the event type and location. You will be made aware of the details prior to the event.
Is there a form that needs to completed to drive in the event?
A Driver's entry form will need to completed by any drivers. This is usually completed on the day.
Can more than 1 driver drive the same car?
Yes. However, each driver still has to pay the cost of the event. The cost of the event is per driver not per car.
Can I share my spot with another driver?
Due to the way that the event is run this is not possible. A spot is allocated to one driver per session or event only.
Can I take a passenger with me?
This is dependent on the event and will be stated in the event information.
Passengers must have completed and signed the relevant paperwork and be wearing the same safety gear as the driver. Passengers are not permitted during a 'Tuning Session' at the RACDC.
